The Year-End Review

With 2008 past, it's time too look back at what's past, so that I can move forward to the future. And what better way to do that then to steal a blog entry from someone? ;)

1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
I went to Las Vegas! I packed up my insane, irrational fear of getting on an airplane, and I went to Las vegas. And it was the most fun I've had in a long time.

2. Did anyone close to you give birth?
My cousins had a baby, and now my other cousins are expecting :D

3. Did anyone close to you die?
We lost our faithful old dog Lucky at the beginning of 2008, and one of my great Aunt's passed away in the summer

4. What countries did you visit?
The United States

5. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
Well that's a bit of a loaded question. For 2009, I think I would like to have more happy times with friends. More learning and exploring new things. More being healthy, mentally and physically. And more kung fu. Definately more kung fu.

6. What dates from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Oh crickey, there's alot!

Cindy's wedding was a big one. It was wonderful to see my good friend and her sweety come together and be happy. It was a wonderful wedding day, and I got to be a bride's maid, which was really cool :D

Definately our Vegas time! I had a wonderful Mama to plan the whole thing, and a very supportive Katie to help keep me from being paranoid and help me get to the passport office. And we had a gaggle of fun adventures while in destination.

I'll also keep my birthday close to my heart, as it was one of the most heart-warming I've had in a long time, with presents and wishes from people I enjoy alot.

And the many moments with Teresa. Oh, and shoving my boss. That was just funny.

7. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Being a bride's maid was a big one. Adventuring out into the world for the first time was another. Taking the steps to get out of my rut, shake off some opressive people, and head down the "This is what Candi wants for her life" road, which is important to me.

8. What was your biggest failure?
Probably being a horrible procrastinator and not doing everything I wanted to do at the end of 2007. I'm supposed to be much thinner right now (which I chose to blame on depression for lack of motivation), and I'm also supposed to be getting myself a car. So that stuff is going on the list for this year as well... and hopefully doesn't move back to the bottom of the pile ;P

9. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Boxing or kick-boxing related mishaps. So just some bruises, nothing overly major. I got my wisdom teeth yanked, so I had to recover from that which wasn't any fun.

10. What was the best thing you bought?
My oodles and oodles of books

11. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Alot of different people for alot of different reasons. Katie for being wonderful, like always, and making me smile when I needed it. Daniel for knowing the horrible truth about me. Heather for being a sweet-heart, like she always is, and humoring me through my petty man-issues and wanting to go to Costco. Myles for being a wicked coach. Lisa and Kim for being awesome and reminding me that I can do whatever I want. Julie for spending time with me and taking me to IKEA. Jenna for giving me evil ideas ;) Mama, for listening to me and taking me on an excellent adventure. Cindy, for wanting me to be a bridesmaid. Whitney for talking in a lischspschs with me. Stephanie for being the smart one. Kim for spending hours on MSN with me talking about everything.

12. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Well, we'll leave this one for the Universe. Not focus on the negative and all ;)

13. Where did most of your money go?
Mostly into video games, books, crystals and feng shui

14. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Getting myself back on track
